After raising three children and entering a quieter season of life, I found my way back to painting—not with a clear destination, but with a sense of invitation. What began as a personal rediscovery has become an unfolding creative practice rooted in curiosity, faith, and the quiet work of becoming.
My art is shaped by life ... by what it means to live between two gardens: between the Garden of Eden and the promised restoration. It is a place of tension — beautiful and messy, grace-filled and unfinished. There is beauty worth noticing and brokenness we cannot ignore, often existing side by side. My work is an invitation to pay attention to both ... to notice what is beautiful, make room for what is hard, and trust that even in the unfinished places, something beautiful is still growing.
Landscapes and trees remain at the heart of my work, inspired by the quiet symbolism of the natural world. But true to the spirit of Branching Out, I also follow curiosity wherever it leads — from abstracts to the human form and other unexpected motifs. The subject may change, but the heart behind the work remains the same.
I don’t simply paint things. I paint places.
Places to pause. To feel. To remember. To breathe.
Through layered washes, organic forms, and an intuitive process, I aim to create space for something personal to surface, allowing each viewer to bring their own story to what they see.
My hope is that my work helps you notice the beauty of living — even in the unfinished places.
